BECOMING

A REFLECTION OF UNBECOMING TO BECOME

The woman I am today is the woman I once dreamt of becoming.

I journaled about her, prayed to her, summoned and envisioned her as I felt the spark of this woman guiding me into the Mystery.

With daily devotion, I watered the seeds of this woman who’s essence stirred deep within.

A higher knowing in my heart said YES to the journey of unbecoming to become, season by season, as she grew, blossomed and withered back to the Earth in perfect time.

She was always me.

A woman who once carried around a sack of rocks that were not all hers, so she could learn to let go.

A woman crushed by the weight of pain, so she could forge diamonds of wisdom.

A woman initiated through suffering, so she could embody her magical elixir of healing medicine.

Day by day, she found the courage to lighten her load and open her heart.

Shedding layer by layer, breath by breath, becoming more free as she came home, came alive and fanned the flames of the fire inside.

She has writhed in the the mud, purging the poison, and she has danced in the heavens, merging with Divinity.

Dying again and again, she has risen from the ashes to re-birth her Highest Self.

She has emerged from the depths to stand tall, glistening in the radiance and remembrance of her sacred body, ancient soul, and eternal spirit.

Feeling the power, visceral as summer rain on her skin, of a woman who bathes in the nectar of her sovereign essence. Of a woman, in her ever-changing nature, who knows who she is.

This woman I once dreamt of becoming exists as me now, her soul honey dripping through every cell of my being.

She is here, now, alive, wild, messy and awake as love and creation embodied.

She is here, now, expressed as the infinite faces of the Goddess herself.

She is here, now. She is me. And I’m so damn proud of the woman I’ve become.
